The Youth are holding a yard sale to help support their Compassion Child that they sponsor.  Your donations of good used children’s clothing, household items (NO LARGE FURNITURE, PLEASE), and other items can be dropped off at the youth room (near the pool table).  The UM Women are seeking donations of baked goods to help support the UM Home for Children in Mechanicsburg, PA.  A sign-up sheet is located at the welcome center for you to sign up for baked goods.  If you have any questions, please call the church office at 765-6031 or see Joline Bailey, Joan Irwin or Lisa Homan.

 

Come to the sale on Saturday, September 21st and find some goodies to buy to help support these great mission projects that Centre Grove is involved in!

 

Come and join us for our free community monthly dinner.  Please note the time change back to 4:30 p.m.  These dinners will be held indoors.  Bring your family and friends and come and enjoy a meal and fellowship together as well as a time of singing and worship.

All school aged students and adults who work in the schools are invited to bring their backpacks, totes or briefcases to our worship service.  During the service a blessing will be given for the participants and their bags to help ensure that everyone has a safe and successful school year.  Any student who needs a backpack and/or school supplies should contact the church office no later than Friday, August 23rd at noon.  Please let us know your name, phone number, how many backpacks are needed, boy or girl, age, and if school supplies are needed.

 

Campfires and hot dogs with the family is a great American tradition.  If you’ve never roasted a hot dog over a fire, we can help you do it!  Bring the kids, spouse, or friend and help us put the church deck to good use.  All the fixings and side dishes will be provided.  Of course, there will be s’mores!

We supply the tents, food, camping equipment and activities.  You supply the family and the fun!  Join us at Parker Dam State park for a Saturday and Sunday of fishing, swimming, hiking and campfires.  There is advanced registration for this activity so call the church office now to get in on this great outdoors activity.  You will need to bring your own sleeping bag or blankets.

We had so much fun last summer that we’re going to do it again.  Dogs, baked beans, macaroni salad and desert, what better meal could you ask for on a nice summer evening.  While the adults relax with an iced tea or cup of coffee we will be having sack races, water balloon toss, three legged races, kick ball games and s’mores for the kids!  Join us for three evenings of great family fun!

It it’s been a while since someone gave your car a good checkup then the Centre Grove parking lot is the place for you on one of these Saturdays.  We’re going to hit it all, oil, air filter, top off your windshield washer fluid, check your battery connection and gauge your tires while you relax with some refreshments in our youth room.

Join us in the evening of June 9th at 6:30 p.m. for a concert by “Heavenbound”.  Bring a lawn chair and a friend and come and worship God’s beauty and majesty!  Refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow this concert.  A love offering will be taken.
